The Bourgeois Salon, 1881

Details     Description

Artist Ensor, James

Ensor's mother and sister appear veritably engulfed by the elaborate furnishings of their sitting room. Impressionist brushwork leaves contours blurred, and things and figures appear immersed in a continuous flux.
